th (5)Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life;

I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered. Psalms 26:1 NIV

What do I require of you? You have made  a wonderful checklist and know that I want you to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Me. I do desire that you walk this path which appears to you that few are moving in the same direction. Some difficulties lead you to a place in which you and I alone stand to evaluate life as you know it.

At some point, the difficulties in your journey of life will bring you to ask two questions, “If you have done all of the good stuff that I have asked, then why does trouble come your way? Am I obligated to deliver you from your trial of pain and persecution because you have worked so hard at living right?”

Abraham asked this question of Me, when years passed and still he had no son for which I promised to him. He watched the servants of his household have children who had children, while he was still alone with his wife. My timing for My actions arrive in the fulness of the moment, but it seems really slow on your timetable. Know that I am constantly orchestrating events to lead you to intimacy with Me even through extended valleys.

Moses walked humbly as a faithful servant before Me. He followed My instructions to set My people free. Some bondages are woven so deeply within your lives, it takes layers of difficulties to unravel your heart to freedom. I took no delight in the ten plagues to deliver My people. Egypt was finally willing to give their riches withheld from the work of their slaves, My children. Moses endured much ridicule from leaders who were under greater duress during the time of Pharaoh’s wrath while the plagues were being delivered.

When life has dished out overwhelming difficulties, I am still here. When cancer has entered your world, I am present also. When you are the point of malicious talk and actions, I heard every word and saw what happened. When you just flat out don’t have enough and others are going to take something from you, I will be with you through the night and take the first steps with you in the morning.

My Son, Jesus experienced all of life’s up and downs so that you truly have a priest interceding for you that understands the weight of sorrow. Draw strength from Him.
