If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13 NIV

Children quickly learn to navigate the unspoken disposition of their parents. When they are in a good mood, the house is pleasant and good things happen. When there is tension in the air, children will retreat into their rooms. Even in the workplace, people will learn the characteristic attitudes of their boss in order to know how to adjust for the work day. Knowing our background in relating to authority, it is understandable why we are suspect, when Jesus tells us that our Father God has an attitude bent toward His children that is always desiring to bless us.

It is true that God resists and opposes us due to our sinful state before receiving forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. But thanks be to God, everything changed when He forgave us and adopted us into His family. NOW, God only and always has our best interest at heart. ALWAYS. It is one of the perks of being His child.

Jesus takes our best moment of a parent showering love over their child through a heart to give them their best, and tells us that God’s love toward us is “much more”. He encourages us to ASK from a Father whose disposition is already to give us “much more”.

Do you really believe God has a “much more” giving attitude toward you today? Do you think He has favorites and you are not at the top of that list? Do you feel as if your behavior has disqualified you from the favored child status? Listen carefully. YOU are in the “How Much More” love category of God. Jesus has secured that status for you…”This is My Son in who I am well pleased.”

Take a moment to listen to your Father today tell you how much He loves you. Include Him in all of your activities today and allow Him to guide your steps.  Let your Father engage in your life. The adventure of “how much more” awaits to be unfolded in your life.

Blessings Love y’all
