I am for Peace – Another Whisper

Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war. Psalm 120:6-7 NIV

When Abraham prayed for Sodom, I was thinking about Lot. He loved the amenities of the city. He tried to stand strong but was overwhelmed by the wickedness of the people in the city. My children are easily deceived, bad company corrupts good character.

I am not against cities. My children will live forever in the new city of which I am the builder and the maker. My Son wept over Jerusalem because they were blinded to the light of truth who was living among them.

As for you my child, I desire for you to spread peace and not conflict. To advance peace does not mean that you will avoid conflict. Instead others will experience My DNA of a peacemaker exhibited among My children as you call for peace in the midst of strife and warring words.

My Son broke down the dividing walls which separate. No longer do you regard anyone according to the flesh. Love sees beyond the color of skin, the warped ideologies of sexual perversion, the arrogance of pride and the quagmire of political rhetoric. My Son pursues the heart which is in need of saving, My children follow His lead.

To be a peacemaker will require more than words. You will at times remain silent and other times you will speak with boldness. You will build bridges where the footprints of your enemies will be imprinted upon the life in which you lay down before them. You will stand on the hopelessness of a situation and see the light of my truth at work where there seems to be no way. Don’t give up, I am working.

To be a peacemaker is not for the faint of heart. Anyone can be for war, strife and arguing. My Spirit will grant you the wisdom to be bold and to be quiet. Rest in following His lead. He is always present before, during, and after  the heat of the moment. Lean on Him for understanding and the course of action you are to take. You don’t have to speak your mind, but His words bring life and healing.

May peace be welcome in your home first. May you and your spouse seek what is good and pure in one another. May your children learn the joy of living in the realm of forgiveness. May the fragrance of a peacemaker rest upon you.

I will always be with you in the battles. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Together we are sharing the good news of life in the midst of death. Like others, you were once blind, but now you see. Let’s spread My love to the world by sharing the gift of My Son. I love you now and always.
