For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12 NIV
The Psalmist provides one of the ways that God accomplishes “no harm” for those who make Him their dwelling – guarding angels. It is important to note as we begin this topic that the Bible is very clear that we are not to become too preoccupied or enamored with angels that would lead us to worship them.
Clearly, God is the one to dispatch the angels to protect us. So our prayer for protection would be to God and not addressing the angels themselves. Most of the angelic protection would be invisible as experienced with Elisha in 2 Kings 6:17-20. However there are times when angels take on human form to interact with us like when the two angels helped Lot. Genesis 19.
Example prayers
“Dear God, as my children are travelling back and forth to work, would you station your angels around them to protect them.”
“Father God, may your angels keep my daughters safe as they go exercise at night. Would you help them be aware of any danger? Thanks for your constant watch over their life.”
“Abba, please station your angels to protect my child in the armed services and for those who are policeman and first responders.”
All meaningful prayer is spoken in faith. Trust that God will watch over your prayers for safety for your life and family with his angelic.
Blessings Love y’all.
