moody changed livesThe apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” Luke 17:5 NIV

If your faith was cash in your wallet, how much are you carrying? If you traveled with a suitcase of faith, how heavy would it be? What past faith experiences would you keep in the bag to help you face the next challenge? We know the boiling and freezing point of water, what gauge are you using to determine your faith level each day?

Jesus rebuked the disciples for a lower level of faith…”O ye of little faith”(Matt. 8:26). He was frustrated with a whole generation…”O , faithless generation” (Mark 9:19).Then we are told “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). Many were rewarded for “great faith”. This is NOT a side issue for a follower of Jesus.

“By grace we are saved through faith” Eph 2:8. So, for anyone to be a follower of Christ, faith in God is the first door to walk through to enter  into that new relationship. Yet, for many, they think they take off their shoes of faith at the entrance of the house. It is quite reversed. Every step we take in this life adventure with Jesus is with “faith shoes” on our feet.

We should possess an ever increasing education on our faith walk with Jesus. What are the requirements? What level of knowledge is necessary to grow in faith? If faith comes by hearing, what should I be listening to? What degree would you assign to yourself in faith education? Elementary? HighSchool? College? Are you satisfied with that degree?

Out of time, I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to start answering some of these questions.

Pam and I leave Korea today for Cambodia.  Looking forward to our next assignment. Continued prayers appreciated.
