th-41You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands. May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:73-74 NLT

It’s true! Somebody is watching you. Right in the middle of your conflicts when you have a decision to make, somebody is watching. God created you for that moment when you feel the least important. God knew you would be going through this specific struggle. Follow God’s ways, for others who are watching are counting on you.

The Psalmist recognizes that God created and made him. To live the best life possible it is important for him to follow the instructions in the owner’s manual. Better yet, the Maker is still present to give up to date advice on the best decisions to make. There is no need for “hindsight”, when you make the wise decision the first time.

Actions of trust in God’s principles bring encouragement to others. Who are the “others”? Everyone in your specific sphere of influence. No one on earth knows everyone that surrounds you. You are just that special, uniquely placed to reach and impact those in your circle. When you make even the smallest decisions to trust God’s promises, the action raises a banner to others that shouts, “God’s ways WORK”.

So, be encouraged. Listen for God’s instruction. Choose His path. “Others” are waiting to cheer when you make the right move. Hope rises in their heart and mind because of the seed implanted by your right actions. They believe, “if God can help them through that yuck, maybe He can help me too.” May your life be “a cause for joy.”
