God created Adam from the dust
He was just one man upon the earth
No animal was found to be his equal
Not one of his stature or his worth
One will not do, God proclaimed
God took a rib from his side
He created Eve for Adam
Two as one, they shall abide
One can put a thousand to flight
Ten thousand will flee with two
Possibility of multiplication
By the addition of me and YOU
The seventy went out two by two
Sharing good news as they went
Preaching with great authority
From Jesus, they were sent
One will not do, God proclaimed
When sharing the words of truth
I’ll give you a son in the faith
Draw strength from his youth
As a father with his son
May your wisdom guide the way
Enjoy the comfort of another
Living the adventure day by day
