Let’s talk about your prayers to me. I know that I am outwardly silent which makes it difficult for you to hear Me. It may seem awkward to talk out loud which appears to be a one sided conversation. Whether you shout at Me in your anger or whimper to Me in your loneliness, it doesn’t change my focused attention on you. I am listening.
Honesty in our relationship is a different issue that you need to understand. There is nothing that you feel or have done that is not already exposed to Me. I am never shocked at the depth of the ugliness of sin. When you try to excuse or hide your sin, you are failing to be honest and pure before Me. Sin is repulsive to Me. My Son, paid the full price of atonement for your sin.
However, My disposition is to draw near to the one who is broken and contrite regarding the “hidden” issues of the heart. Admitting your frailty allows Me to interact with your thoughts and emotions. You are opening the door for Me to be an ever present Father. I accept you and care for you always.
Please know that I am listening to your prayers. I hear when you are thankful. I listen when you petition Me. I am smiling when your worship moves from your mouth to your heart of adoration. I am empathizing with the pain of your loss. I am always ready to forgive when confession comes before Me. And I respond with a whisper to your spirit, “I am here”.
