Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted. Why does the wicked renounce God and say in his heart, “You will not call to account”? But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless. Psalm 10:12-14 ESV
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of My throne. I have also embedded the desire for these within you. Nations are securely established when the rulers act rightly in all of their affairs and judgements. Narrow is the path that leads to righteousness, but it can be found and traveled.
Oh, how I hate the impact that sin has upon My people. My heart breaks for those who violate my principles of right living and for those who are damaged by the exercising of it. Sin creates a cumulative wrapping of chains to bind you instead of a license to more freedom.
Even though the wicked say “God does not see”, no one who sins escapes my notice. For My Son calls from the cross, “forgive them, for they know not what they do.” His voice directs My wrath away from the sin in their life to Himself where He freely pays the penalty of My wrath for them with the sacrifice of His own blood.
Come My child. Draw close to My heart and hear how love beats for the oppressed and fatherless. Though the weight of your troubles seem unbearable, I am still with you. Though the wicked take advantage of you and justice seems to elude you, I see and draw near.
Though I may appear silent, though I may seem to move to slowly, though you may feel that I am callous to your cry for help, though the wicked appear to prosper without account, though justice appears to have left the land, though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vine, I will strengthen you to give you feet to move to the heights of My rest and peace. There, we will enjoy one another.
I am handling the “larger” issues of sin and wickedness. Walk with Me. Talk with Me. I will lead you along the paths of righteousness as we address wickedness in the land. For now, let your heart be settled in My peace. I love you.
