How do you know I love you? How do you measure love as “okay”, “better than normal”, or “great”?
For some, My words captured on the written page are more than enough. When it was written that “I so loved the world that I gave My Son”, you intuitively understood that your name was included. I had you in mind as the term “world” was recorded. My gaze was and is directed toward you.
I need to help you measure the intensity of My love toward you so that you may understand the greatness or powerfulness of My love. I gave My Son to you and for you. No good thing do I withhold for those who follow My Son. I lavish My love upon you to be identified so closely to Me, that others know you as children of God, My child.
I held nothing back to reveal the depth of My love toward you. My Son took your punishment required for your sin and died on the cross on your behalf. He did this willingly, not because He had to do it. You were included in His forgiveness He spoke while on the cross. For His sacrifice on your behalf, My Son, Jesus, acquired the name above every other name in which every knee will bow and confess Him as Lord.
Come now let us reason together, though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be made white as snow. Those who are forgiven, are completely forgiven. As far as the east is from the west, I have removed your transgressions from you. These are not generic principles for the masses. This promise is for you as you repeat it over your lips and believe it is true for you in your heart.
How do you measure the greatness of My love? Will the sacrifice offered by My Son be enough to convince you? Will the words of My love I have spoken in My word soften your timid heart? Will the signs of fulfillment of my promises embolden your faith to trust I will do you good all the days of your life? In the stillness of night, will the peace of My presence which comforts your heart, establish the settled conviction that I was serious to fulfill My promise to never leave you nor forsake you?
Those who seek Me will find Me. My Spirit is shed abroad in your hearts so that each receives all that I am. All of My followers have access to My heart. I am listening to your calls, sighs, your next breath, and even the beating of your heart. I am near to the brokenhearted.
I, who formed you, call you by name. I love you.
