And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, Philippians 1:9-10.
The apostle Paul prayed that your love may abound more and more. I am still answering this prayer. He was revealing My heart for each one of My children. Love is both a relational term and an action.
It is relational in the way it is shared and felt between one another. It is never seasonal, conditional or optional; at least not the way that I love you. Love is the fabric of a relationship that weaves the hearts together. We are joined together at the heart.
My love for you is like a perfume, once applied it stays with you. This was the fragrance poured over My son from the alabaster jar. Her loving actions remained with Him through His death, burial and resurrection.
My love for you is also like the receiving of a gold coin. It is always valuable. It has a weightiness that can always be felt. It remains with you wherever you go. It reflects the value of how much I love and think about you.
Knowledge of love also helps with your decision making in knowing what is the best response. It has the ability to clear out all of the distractions of the personal “I want”. It is rarely the easiest decision to make, but it is always the right decision to make.
Show love. Be loving. Respond in love. Receive love. Give love away. Think about love. Grow in love. Celebrate love. Follow the path of love. Swim in the refreshing pool of My love.
The only side effects of loving others – it makes your heart more tender toward their needs. That was one of the benefits of My Son living among you. He experienced love in giving it away and receiving it from others. Love changes your heart.
May you grow deeper in your appreciation of My love for you. You are the apple of My eye.
