I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV
Father: I created you for the warmth which exists in a loving relationship. Memories of conversations, laughter of moments, the breathtaking engagement when eyes are locked into the acceptance of one soul to another, are expressions of an open and reactive heart to one another.
Father: Sin, pride, selfishness and self preservation mold your heart to be unresponsive and uncaring toward others. This is the bent of all of mankind because of the effects of Adam’s sin. You are incapable of removing the stony heart by your own efforts. Don’t be surprised when you experience the coldness of another’s heart, it reveals its resistance against love. Don’t be alarmed when the immovable hardness of another’s heart rears up to stand fixated as cruel and hurtful. This reflects the heart of stone which needs to be removed.
Father: The surgery does not take long for Me to remove the heart of stone. My Son paved the way on the cross of suffering, shame and death. To yield, to confess, to approach Me broken and contrite for your need of salvation, preps you for the wonderful heart exchange. In a moment, in a twinkling of the eye, between a gasp for air, the new heart is replaced for the old heart. The permanency for My Spirit to abide with you forever takes place.
Father: Communion and covenant rest upon you My child. You have all of the expressions of love awakening upon you. For the first time, you feel the embrace of My unconditional love for you. Your mind is free to explore the freedoms of “what could be possible”. There are no limits of goodness and kindness bearing fruit in all the avenues you take in life.
Father: Your heart is not only new, but it is growing and transforming. The capacity for love is ever expanding in your feelings and words of affirmation. My Spirit is comfortable relaxing with you. Be at rest. Cease striving. Your new heart is a good thing which will produce life wherever you go. I love you.
