Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them. Psalm 126:5-6 NIV
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to cry and a time to laugh, a time to grieve and a time to dance. I am with you at every turn, while you sit and contemplate, when you furrow your brow with worry, when you toss and turn on your bed at night, in the darkest moments, and as joy replaces the memory of loss.
I know the difference between tears shed because you are stuck having been embarrassed or caught, and those from your soul broken from desperation. To others these cries may look and sound very similar. But tears of brokenness are seeds sown into the sands of time filling up in your life. They will produce character, freedom, and joy.
My child, I know the harvest is coming. Weeping may last through the night, but joy – your joy – will come in the morning. Placement of hope is important. You will not find lasting hope in change of circumstances. Hope and joy are found in the relationship of trust built upon My faithful word to you.
Joy springs forth like the freshness of the fallen rain. Joy bubbles over into the laughter of the soul. Joy abides around My throne. Joy looks good on you. Though it seems too tarry, even now the roots are growing deep within you.
My child, My ears are attentive to your voice. It is not from a distance from you that I listen, rather I am beside you. When the words escape you, tears are okay. In that silence, remember to listen to Me. I while not shame you nor condemn you. I am forever in love with you.
