Out of the depths, I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you, there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. Psalm 130:1-4 NIV
Have you heard a baby crying and watched how the mother responds? When the child cries in pain, hunger, or loneliness, she can distinguish that need between her child and all other babies. The nurturing spirit within her is part of My image woven into her DNA.
Your cries for mercy are more profound than your words. From the well deep within your spirit, I hear the words that are uttered that are only whispered in your mind. When David escaped King Saul’s death threats, he hid in a cave. Without knowing of His future, there in the darkness, he turned and cried out to Me. I heard his heart crying out, even with no mouth to utter its plea. His heart was pursuing Mine.
Come to Me; you are weary and heavy laden. Cry out to Me. Voice your fears and anger. I am listening while I hold you close to My heart.
Forgiveness is honest, clean, and pure. Do not hesitate to think I look at you with shame. When I forgive, I place your sin in the sea of forgetfulness. It was stamped with blood with the statement wholly forgiven. This is for you. My Son paid the debt. So, don’t let shame keep you from crying out to the one who hears and knows your heart.
Let My peace rest on you, so you know your cries have been heard. So rest in My love and listen for My voice. I love you.
Whispers from your Father, God
