Whispers From your Father, God are the dialogues God may have with you based on the scripture passage chosen for the day. In this category section of the Blog are a couple of hundred entries, if you would like to read them. Adam is the representative one man who is chosen at times to voice the dialogue.

With You in the Battle – Another Whsiper
Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
you shield my head in the day of battle.
Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;
  do not let their plans succeed
. Psalm 140:7-8

Adam: Every day seems like a battle. Why are there so many against me? Why do people wish and speak such vile things? Why is there such enmity against others?

Father God: The battle you face is real on several levels.

Physically, there are those who bear the brunt of brutality. I did not create your physical body to withstand evil onslaughts. Your flesh can be easily cut and your bones will break. I do give you armor and I place my hedge of protection around you.

For some, the greater challenges are the mental attacks which you will have to manage. Words have the power of life and death. I speak peace over your thoughts. No longer should you be consumed with trying to get even. Vengeance is mine. Forgive, Curse not, and bless those who persecute you.

I am always actively protecting you in the spiritual realm. What is unseen to you never escapes my notice. I am behind the scenes working all things toward your good. I am watching over you night and day, for I neither sleep nor slumber.

Adam: Abba, it is not only those who I do not know that wish me evil, but it cuts the deepest when those who are close to me speak hurtful words.

Father God: My Son experienced your pain when Peter cursed and denied Him. Even Judas was blinded to My Son’s mission of seeking to save those who are lost. Knowing that I feel your pain helps you receive the comfort necessary to see the situation from a new perspective. But I know you need more from Me.

I never want the barbs from  words such as  hate, ugly, stupid, worthless, deceitful, jealous, or cruel to lodge into your mind and spirit. Come to Me, and I will pull out the sting as I comfort you with My love and thoughts toward you.

Adam: Is prayer to You my only hope? Does it make a difference when I pray to you for protection, for deliverance?

Father God: Power and authority are hurled into the battle when you speak. Crying out to Me for help when you struggle, when you have hit the road blocks, when the attacks feel on every side, and when the pressures make it hard to breathe, moves Me to draw near for your deliverance

Oh that you would see the power of praying to Me. There is no veil of separation between our spirits when you come to Me with a broken and contrite heart. I see your anguish, your disappointments, your frustration and your frailty. I take those moments to whisper My commitment to watch over your coming in and going out. You are never alone in the battles. I am with you.
