th (98)God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful…” Genesis 1:28a NIV

We have a friend who stated that all blessings in the Bible are spoken. Genesis 1:28 records the first blessing recorded for mankind from God over our lives. He pointed us in the right direction to flourish. God desires for us to be fruitful in every aspect of our lives.

This blessing could be regarded as “the great intention”. God wants good for us and wants us to flourish and prosper. This is true for all of mankind. Fruitfulness is the starting point for everyone of us as it relates to God’s desire for us. We know that sin and desiring to do things our own way makes us fall away from achieving this divine purpose.

We needed help and Jesus is the answer. Staying connected to Him opens the door again. Notice that Jesus wants us to be fruitful, but only as it relates to our relationship with Him. “If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing”. John 15:5.

The distance between “much fruit” and “do nothing” is a vast ocean beyond visible borders. Jesus is “the divine upgrade” from God’s original “great intention”.  God wants you to be fruitful in your family, work, physical health, projects, relationships and so much more. Staying connected and abiding in and with Jesus on a moment by moment basis is the key to experiencing the full, and abundant life that God desires for you to experience.

What does abiding with Jesus look like in your life? Much fruit will accompany you on your journey.

Blessings Love y’all
