greeting

Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me send greetings.  All God’s people here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household. Philippians 4:21-22 NIV.

It’s more than saying “howdy”

There’s a deep appreciation inside

A figurative expression

A reunion, with arms open wide

Some are fake and phony

A tilt of head and a nod

Consumed too much of self

Relating not to man nor to God

Send your warmest welcome

Include a gift or a letter

Open it upon arrival

Watch the smile get better

A greeting and a welcome

Expresses longings of a heart

Missing their physical presence

Til re-uniting does its part

Hello, how are you doing

Asked with true concern

Makes a world of difference

When genuinely discerned

Learn to give a proper greeting

A warm embrace is given

Handshakes, hugs and smiles

That’s how we should be livin’
