What does it mean for Me to “know” you intimately? It is more than a familiarity with all the facts about your life. I know the tiniest stuff about you; like the number of hairs upon your head, the time that your rise up and the time you lay down, your favorite foods and those you choose to ignore. I knew theses details even before you were born. I knew the color of your eyes and every physical feature that defines you and makes you unique.
Knowing what I know of your life, what do I like best about you? I enjoy the love we share between each other. How do I know that you love me? You find Me when you seek Me with all of your heart. You find time…no…you rearrange and prioritize your time for us to spend it together. Through your speech and song, you pour forth expressions of love and adoration. You change. Out of love for our relationship, you adjust your behavior to that which is pleasing to Me and is life-giving to you.
I know your pain which stems from your poor decisions or from the impact of this fallen world in which you live. I do more than listen, or watch your pain from a distance, I know it personally. My Son bears the marks of the penalty of your poor decisions on His body and carries the weight of your trials on His shoulders. By your own efforts you are unable to remove the reproach of your own sin, so My Son took the full punishment upon Himself for you. Why? I KNOW you.
I know you better than you even know yourself. Knowing what I know, I still love YOU.
I truly do know you…can you hear Me?
