O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come. Psalm 65:2 NKJV

What is mankind that I am mindful of him? I have placed a desire inside you that you may know Me. Every time Abram looked at the night skies with the stars twinkling above, he remembered our conversation about himself and his future. Moses was hungry to remain in My presence and still wanted to know more of My glory. King David found Me in his worship in which he poured out both his praise and despair.

What amazes Me is the mental gymnastics that people will do to avoid acknowledging My presence and their need for a savior. A small child holds their father’s hand to learn to walk, then let’s it go when they want to run. The father is still watching, even when the child no longer feels as if they need his help. But when they fall, they quickly turn to look for his help.

Prayer is more than holding on to My hand. Prayer is more than a crutch to help you walk as you limp through your struggles. Prayer is more than a request for a lifeline to pull you out of the muck and the mire. But I never grow weary of responding to My fearful child who cries out in despair, “God help me!”

Even those who have not yet heard My name, know that I exist and they are in pursuit of Me. I follow their questioning that there must be more than what they have experienced. As their hunger for Me grows, I will satisfy them with good things about Myself.

Know today that I am listening. Come to Me. No one is excluded from approaching My throne for a conversation. Remember that neither your brokenness nor your blatant sinfulness disqualifies you from crying out to Me for help. All who are thirsty, Come! Let’s start that conversation now.
