Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— Galatians 1:1
Who is calling you?
For a long time spam calls were off limits to your personal cell phone. Even with caller ID you are still unsure who is calling on that number that you don’t recognize. Now the sales calls are using your area code to make it look like a local call. Does it make a difference knowing who is calling you?
Paul was called to be an apostle. It was not a long time dream of his. It was not a power play of his to control the early church. It was not a vocational choice to climb the respectability ladder. It was not the only choice that he had left to make ends meet. God put him in that position.
You are also called to a gift and function into the body of Christ. He called you by name to be a part of his family. AND He also called you and equipped you with a gift to serve the rest of the body of Christ. See 1 Corinthians 12.
Your calling was paid for with the same precious sacrifice that Paul received. The power and authority that was purchased through Jesus death, burial, and resurrection is the CALL that came to you to be who He called you to be. You are no less important than Paul and not greater than him either. The one who made the call is your total focus…Jesus.
Like never before, it is important that you live out your calling. A healthy body needs for every part to function at its best capacity. God typically lets you see needs that are filtered with your gifting. If you see something that needs to be done… God is probably calling you to do something about it. PS it will not include whining, gossiping or complaining about others not doing their part.
Rise up. Answer the call. Jesus has asked you to engage. You are His answer for hope in this dying world.
Blessings. Love y’all
