Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100: 3-4. NIV

Created to Worship

The desire for worship and knowing were grafted into your DNA at creation. The hunger for belonging leads to the formation of wonderful relationships to do life together. When you reconnect with Me, worship is natural.

Sheep do not need the shepherd to eat, they need Him to guide them to green pastures. Sheep are born with the ability to drink, but the good shepherd directs them to clean and healthy waters. When you know Me as the good shepherd, love and trust are the bed which you sleep on each night.

What happens when you reject connecting with Me? You will still worship, but it will be like pouring valuable oils in a sieve. You will lose all of it’s value while maintaining only a hint of the precious smell.

The hunger for knowledge will lead you to feel the emptiness of all pursuits in life that don’t have Me as the foundation. The desire to love more and be loved will lead you to see the greatest sacrifice of mankind, the death of My Son in your place for sin. Love thrives in the realm of an overflowing heart of giving.

Come my sheep and rest. Let us talk of the joys and burdens of your heart. Let us spend meaningful time together which feeds your soul. Let the warmth of my love cover the cold moments of rejections which you have experienced. Let me whisper to you again…”I created you and I love you”.
