Adam and Eve hid from My presence after they sinned. Cain was arrogant and flippant until I called him to account with consequences, then he begged for mercy. Amid a culture in which everyone was living evil unto themselves, Noah found favor in My sight. Abram trusted My word and I counted it righteous. Jacob wrestled with an Angel of My presence and left changed. Moses asked to see My glory, I hid him behind a rock as I passed by. Joshua remained in the tent of meeting after I spoke with Moses. The children of Israel saw a cloud by day and a fire by night to experience My presence.
Having encountered Me through Naomi’s life, Ruth would never turn back. Hannah touched My heart as she pleaded for a child, I granted her request with the prophet Samuel. King David pursued My presence as a deer pants after the water. Isaiah was undone in the midst of My holiness. Daniel was willing to die in order to keep our daily times together on his bent knee.
The apostle John penned the essence of My Son’s experience on earth. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, Me, full of grace and truth.
To the broken hearted, I am ever present. To the stiff-necked, I am God Almighty. To the penitent, I am merciful. To the proud, I resist and bring low. To the hungry and thirsty, you shall be filled. To the one who treasures life more than Me, you will be constantly on the hunt for what you cannot find.
To the one who has the stain of sin freshly upon you, COME. My Son’s arms are open wide at the cross to receive you. The cleansing needed for your guilt and pain has been poured out with His blood. I demonstrate My love for you even while you are sinning.
For My children, never will I leave you, nor forsake you. You have access to My heartbeat of love for you. You can approach My throne of grace with all boldness. Stay and receive.
