“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” Psalms 128:1,2 NIV
From the garden of Eden, I invited you to eat from the fruit of My provision. I asked you to look at all of the trees, bushes, and vines which were continually bearing ripened fruit for eating. These were yours to eat freely.
Part of the consequences of the failure to obey was the work required for food to eat. Seedtime and harvest will require effort until the end of the age. Enjoying the fruits of your labor is a satisfying reward.
There is a fruit My Son referred to when He said, “I have food that you know not of”. He was speaking of the fruit of obeying My will. Aligning your activities and actions with My righteous principles for life will bear the fruit of satisfaction of a job well done.
When you sleep and rest properly, you will be refreshed and think clearly. When you eat healthy to nourish your body, you cast off sluggishness and put on vitality. When you choose truth over lies, blessing over envy, love over hatred, honor instead of disrespect, you will have the peace of a clear conscience and a calm heart. When you follow My voice, walk in My pathways, place your hands to the tasks I have set before you, you will enjoy the fruits of your obedience.
Like the water which flows downstream, choosing to obey My words will lead you to green pastures of fruitfulness. Like the birds spreading their wings to capture the wind currents for effortless flight, you will also find that life has blessings in store for those who depend on My Spirit to lead, guide and uphold you.
I desire blessing for you and not cursing. I lean forward into your joy. I loved you before you were born and in the day to day experiences of life. When it gets tough, when you are tired and thirsty, I am here for your next step, your next breath. Be still and listen. I am whispering to you, the blessing of My love and provision.
