6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6 NIV.
A desire for many changes in our lives occurs in January. For the followers of Jesus, connecting and dialoguing with God in prayer should be at the top of the priorities. I find that the Bible is one of the easiest to use for prayer prompts. The reality for many people is that we need several prayer prompts to keep the prayer time going.
I have several resources which I use to keep prayer at the forefront of my life. Recently, I found the website love2pray.com which is committed to helping people and churches grow more intimate and focused on prayer. I signed up for the daily prayer prompts. There is a small monthly fee if you desire to have access to all of the videos and teachings about prayer.
These are the prayer prompts for today.
As you can see, the prayer prompts cover Personal Prayer, For your Family and Friends, For the Church, For the Kingdom of God, and For People to Know Jesus.
I find that it is helpful to read the prompts aloud, read the Bible verse and then pray other thoughts which come to my mind. Lift up people by name. Ask God to show you how these family and friends may need God on this day relating to the prayer focus.
Jesus said, “When you pray…” Prayer is a given expectation for the followers of Jesus. May this be the year when you and I move closer to “praying without ceasing.”
Blessings Love y’all
