th-48“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:36 NIV

My Son, Jesus, spoke to me in a tender way when He was in one of the most emotionally stressful situations. He was firming up the decision to follow the plan to die on the cross. He called me Daddy or Papa, the meaning of the word Abba, to ask for my help.

I have been called many things since the time that I created man. My children speak about me in intimate terms. It makes me sad when some use my name to speak a word of curse toward others. Others don’t talk to me at all, because no one has ever introduced Me to them. When my children trust in My Son, Jesus, they become my children and call me Abba, Daddy.

Do you think I am listening to you in your moment of crisis? When you have big decisions to make, I am here to walk with you in the way that you should go. When you are turned upside down because of emotional junk, I remain your anchor to bring you back to a place of calm. When your heart is filled with gratefulness, I rejoice over your with singing.

Please remember that Abba is not just a word, it expresses the love that we share between us. I call you MY child and you can come to me ANY time and call me Papa. What is on your heart today? Let’s talk.

Whispers from Your Father, God
