Poems in Philippians
Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, Philippians 1:25
Do faith and “being sure” live together
How do the two of these collide
My surety changes like the weather
My peace likes to run and hide
How does one become convinced
Decisions are hard to make
My ideas are fully minced
Not knowing which to take
Listen to the counsel of others
There is wisdom to be found
Thankful for the strength of brothers
To keep my feet to the ground
I’ve narrowed my choice to two
Both options look good to me
Still unsure what to do
The future is clouded to me
Convinced of this you say
“I know which way to go”
I look for God’s peace to stay
It’s presence in my heart must I know
A sure conviction is the key
With a present peace that will abide
Both of these find a home in me
Settled restfully side by side
