Ravi Zacharias loves the ministry of good spiritual music and song. He believes that music bypasses the mind and communicates to the spirit. This is why it is so important to surround your life with songs of worship of and about God. The refrains, chorus or a segment of a verse can help lead you back to the truths of God and His character. Read this chorus from Steven Curtis Chapman, “My Redeemer is Faithful and True”.

My Redeemer is faithful and true

Everything He has said He will do

And every morning His mercies are new

My Redeemer is faithful and true

God’s promises find their fulfillment in Christ…all of them. Let me remind you of 3 promises that you may need today.

  • God’s mercies are new every morning, His faithfulness is overwhelmingly great.
    • No matter how bad the situation is that you find yourself in, God has a merciful hand extended to you. Today!
    • No matter how dark your future may seem, the mercy of God lights a path forward. Today!
    • No matter how much the enemy has caused havoc in your life, God’s mercy will be as fresh for you as the smell of a squeezed orange. Today!
  • They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings like eagles.
    • Remember the promise was fulfilled in Christ. He waited on His Father and was raised to new life in 3 days. Jesus accomplished the waiting so we receive the fulfilment of the promise not the working of the waiting. We look to Christ.
    • Strength needed to move forward was already accomplished by Christ. The “amen” which means “so be it” is ours to proclaim. “In Christ, I have renewed strength, Amen”.
    • This strength is applicable for any situation that is facing you. May you be encouraged to step forward again.
    • May God let his Joy rise up within you in the middle of your trial, His joy is strength.
  • All your sins have been removed as far as the east is from the west.
    • When we have confessed our sins to God, Christ paid the penalty for all of those sins on the Cross.  They are washed in the blood, hidden in the blood, disappeared in the blood, forgotten in the blood.
    • With all of our sins removed, “Why do you carry the guilt of yesterday’s dumb decision?” If God says the sins are gone, then they are gone. Start living today in that present reality.
    • Don’t let the enemy bring condemnation about past sins. In Christ, LET IT GO!
    • Don’t condemn others if their sins are forgiven. If they have received God’s forgiveness, let them be free. Don’t be the mouthpiece of the Devil to continue to bring accusations against them. Let them be free in Christ.

When you come across a promise in the Bible, look toward it’s fulfillment in Christ. Then ask God for the grace to apply the promise liberally to your life. What God has promised, is faithful and true. What He says, He will do.

Blessings Love y’all
