Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV
What do I have to offer you
Worry has given me a tankful
My mind has little room left
To find a thought that’s thankful
I feel like a hypocrite
To offer you some praise
My feelings are not aligned
To muddled within the haze
Can I start with nothing
It’s a choice, my gratitude
I’ll approach God’s throne now
Adjust my right heart attitude
Like writing an appreciation note
There are lines full of blanks
Pen the words, one at a time
Soon a page is filled with thanks
With eyes on my circumstance
It’s difficult to compose
When reflecting on God’s wisdom
Receive the comfort, that He knows
I have something to offer
Praise, worship and thanksgiving
My heart is captured by God’s love
A settled rhythm of thanksliving
Even when I’m overwhelmed
Anxious to the brim
I choose to give God thanks
I’m blessed to honor Him
