photoGreat is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. Psalms 48:1 NIV

Praise looks good on you. Praise sounds like it is quite becoming of you. Shouts of joy, exuberant cheers, voices raised with excitement are natural expressions when your favorite team is moving to number one. The excitement of joy has to find a way out of your body somewhere as the anticipation builds and wells up within you. Hooray! I love to see you happy and joyful.

I, also, inhabit the praises of My people. I am quite comfortable with pure, unfiltered, and raw gratefulness for who I am and what I have done for you. Like the angels who cry Holy, Holy, Holy before Me night and day, your worship and praise fit right in. There is always room for your special addition to the chorus.

Gratefulness and thanksgiving are like the snowball at the top of the hill. You may not think much is happening the first few rotations, but that is not true. When you direct your words, thoughts and emotions to contemplate My goodness, My grace, and My forgiveness toward and over you, like the snowball,it grows bigger and fuller. Just start down the path of honoring Me with your lips and heart and watch your worship grow.

As deep calls to deep, I am with you always, even at your lowest moment. In the darkest moments praise is hard and awkward. Darkness is incapable of containing the light of praise. Your worship becomes your lighthouse in the thickest of storms. The choice to praise when there is the nothingness of good around you, is a treasure stored up for you in heaven.

My wisdom, love, and grandeur are limitless. Your eyes focus on the brook, the trees, up to the mountains, the sky and then the stars. Do you see how I have created you with the capacity to absorb the vastness of the universe? I am even more magnificent!

Can you measure the word great? For Me, there is no beginning and there is no end. I was before all things and will remain after this world ceases. Yet, you have captured My heart. I know the numbers of hair on your head. I have the capability to interact with you as if it’s just Me and you.

Let Me hear your voice of praise and worship to Me, then listen as I whisper back…”I love you, too!”
