Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation. Psalm 85:6-7 NIV

From the minerals of the earth, I formed and fashioned your body. Everything was connected, organized, and created to work in its designated function, but you were still lifeless. From your perspective you were dead, until My Spirit breathed life into you. You became a living being. Breathing and your connection to Me, sustains you everyday.

Your spirit man also must be born again. That which is born of the Spirit is spiritual. The connection to Holy Spirit sustains your spiritual walk. He places you into the body of My Son with a function to perform for the body’s health. You are necessary for this body to work as the head, My Son, leads.

You were created to breathe without consciously thinking of the dynamics necessary to sustain life, Hold your breath for a few moments and your entire body will engage you to gasp for air. Your body recognizes the need for continual breathing.

Your spiritual health is similar. There is a pace in our relationship that continues because of our close relationship. Try to live life in your own wisdom, your own understanding, or your own selfish direction and your spirit man begins to gasp for renewed life. You can’t make it in this life as a Christian without the presence of Holy Spirit reviving you moment by moment.

The hunger for revival is the beginning of your gasp. Allow all of your senses to be awakened to the thirst for faith to arise, the rest of peace over your troubled mind, the renewed vision of hope for the clarity of future possibilities,  passionate desires be rekindled to be about your Father’s business, and begin bearing fruit that remains as you are saturated with the abiding presence of My love.

Revival is not what I did yesterday. It is the spark of My life flowing through you right now. Revival is deeply personal, but also contagious. Revival is hunger and thirst that finds its fulfilment in Me. Those who are gasping for revival do not hesitate to make adjustments needed for the next gasp of air.

On Pentecost Sunday, Holy Spirit brought wind and fire that remained on each in the upper room. Both are needed for sustained spiritual vitality. May your hunger and thirst for more, find the rhythm and experiences of life that flows and abides in Holy Spirit.

Keep asking Me to revive you. Listen as I reveal the closeness of My breath and words over you. I love you more.
