Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord: that he looked down from his holy height; from heaven the Lord looked at the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die, Psalm 102:18-20 NIV

My Anguish – Another Whisper

Adam: Who will set me free? Who will come when I cry out in my anguish?

Father God: He who knows My Son knows the truth, He will set you free. He came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free.

Adam: I know you help people in a universal sense, but my heart is overwhelmed. I feel lonely and abandoned. I also feel that I deserve the pain which I am enduring.

Father God: Come now let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet they shall be made white as snow. I am in the cleaning hearts and lives business. You, yes you, are the perfect candidate for Me to express my love and care.

Father God: Let’s get to the real issue. You wonder why I am silent when you are going through your pain? You are concerned I will abandon you when you need Me the most? You are thinking that I am too busy with other bigger problems. You are angry because I have not come immediately and fixed your problem.

Father God: Child, pain rips away the veil of pretension. Enduring pain breaks the walls which separated us. “God, save me!”, comes straight from the heart, which is My dwelling place in your life. I am here in this moment when you cannot see the next day. I am also here for your tomorrow.

Adam: How long before You change my circumstances?

Father God: They are already changed! Although that statement sounds like a religious slogan, let its truth permeate your soul. When you pursue Me in your darkness and trial, I am with you. Knowing I am in your valley changes everything. Weeping may last for the night, joy comes in the morning.

Father God: Even when the outcome delays or turns out differently from the way you were hoping, I am still with you and in charge. Trust in Me finds a secure anchor to weather your storm. Receive My peace!
