There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!  Psalm 43:4 NLT

Source of Joy

Yesterday, I joined a New Generation training class with Pakistanis. Joy filled their worship time. They had a flat piano type accordion and a metal pot for the percussion portion. One song included the universal word alleluia while the other was upbeat. Truly God inhabits the praises of His people. Other than “alleluia” I did not know any of the words as they sang in Urdu, but I was one with them in spirit.

I know that God is with us everywhere. I know that His Spirit remains with us, for He has said, “never will I leave you, nor will I forsake you.” But there is something special about going to church and gathering with other believers for worship.

May you encounter God as the source of your joy today. This is important as we encounter all of the trials that are weighing us down. Weeping may last for the night….going to church with others usually occurs in the morning where joy is found.

It is such a good day to sing of God’s goodness; to declare with your own lips His faithfulness; to allow the Spirit full access to your mind, will, emotions and your heart; and to let love blossom in full display from God to you and from you to God.

Let tears of comfort flow freely. Let tears of joy touch your smiling lips. Let the laughter come forth from the one who experiences freedom. Let the child come unto Jesus in the purest way that children come and forbid them not. May salvation of new birth occur. May the unsaved declare, “surely God has been in this place!”

God is the source of everlasting joy. It is far more than emotions, Yet, when it fills your heart it pushes despair to the side. May you seek the Lord while He may be found. Church is a great place to settle among the aroma of His love and goodness with the body of Christ.

Have a Jesus filled day!

Blessings Love y’all
