Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Psalm 119:5 NIV
My child, your spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I know that you desire to do good all the days of your life. I know that you say that you would rather obey than choose disobedience. Yet, we seem to return to the same bend in the road again and again.
Before you start agreeing with Me too quickly, let Me speak over your heart. There is no condemnation for those in relationship with My Son. No means none, nada, or zilch. All that shame, remorse, and regret, My Son bore the full weight of that humiliation on the cross. All heaven watched as He died naked, and bearing the sin of the world. Because He took it ALL, the condemnation payment was stamped “paid in full”.
As far as the east is from the west, so far I have removed your transgressions from you. Your stains have been cleansed to white as snow – pure, clean, spotless. This is not metaphorically speaking only. It is the reality in which I live and interact with you. You are clean.
So how do we handle the sin which so easily entangles? How do you gain victory to move away from the merry-go-round of “I blew it again”?
Come experience fresh and anew the power of the cleansing blood of Jesus, My Son. You can’t make yourself clean, You can’t do enough penance to make your heart pure. You can’t negotiate your mind to the right frame of holiness. You can beat your body into submission to righteous living. But you can bath in the fountain of grace found in the shed blood of My Son. Just stand and receive. Let My love bring hope, healing and restoration.
Love and obedience are brothers victoriously walking in combat together. Love makes obedience joyful. Obedience keeps love on the right path. They complement one another like the sunlight reflection over the still waters.
Your love for Me produces the strength and inner energy to follow the leading of My Spirit into life and godliness. He always leads the best decisions for your life.
My door is always open with the sign reading – “Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden.” Even now – Come!
