May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13 NIV

Hope Below the Surface

I prayed with some friends the other night which included a vision. I often pause before I pray and ask God to show me something specific for the situation or the person. Sometimes there seems to be more life in the image and then the prayer. In some circles this is called prophetic prayers. I don’t know if it is 100 percent an image from  God, but I exercise faith by praying what I am seein

The image the other night was this, I saw people submerged below water. They were close to the top of the water, but they were unable to come up for air. I could almost hear someone say, “I’m drowning underneath all of this.”

Then I saw a tube inserted into their mouths which led to the air above. Life giving air was being provided. The person was no longer afraid, but knew they could navigate as long as necessary, because of the air tube.

As I shared this image in prayer, God gave me the revelation of the prayer.

Many are drowning and without hope. All of their efforts to get their head above water were futile. Hopelessness can make you feel fear, confused and frustrated. God gives life through the Holy Spirit. He is the one to provide the tube to His abundant life. You will not stay under the water all the time, but He will sustain you perfectly. As long as it takes, He will guide, protect and sustain your life.

Perhaps, this is you today. Finances, job frustrations,  broken relationships, betrayal, or even feeling stuck with no traction are some of the ways you are feeling. God loves you. God is already moving on your behalf to help  and sustain you. He is not stumped by your circumstances. He knows the way out and the way through. He is the way maker and the way provider. He is God above you, below you and with you. He who started this good work in your life will complete what He started. He always finishes what He starts and calls what He is doing “Good”.

May you receive hope today from God that is tangible.  May peace lead and guide you.

Blessings Love y’all
