Manna Minute – Peace, Peace for Me

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

  • Comments
    • The Hebrew phrase for perfect peace is reiteration of shalom, shalom. The whole person is impacted in the Hebrew understanding of shalom. Peace for the mind, Peace for the emotions, and peace for the body. A sense of well being settles over you.
    • The context of the verse is a song that will be sung when they return to the new city after living in the distress of exile. God restores to a place of shalom, shalom.
    • The word for mind is also translated as imagination and fixated. The idea is someone whose thoughts about God overflow with gratitude to the point of being enamored with Him continually.
  • Rephrase – I am kept in peace over my mind and thoughts today, because I trust in God
  • Faith expression – Because of Jesus, my mind is continually fixed on Him and I live all day long in the benefits of shalom, shalom.
  • Prayer – Father God, thank you for understanding my weakness and frailties. Thank you for the provision of peace over my mind and thoughts.  Thank you for the health and vitality that you give to my body. Today I will receive peace in the middle of stressful situations which come my way. I am covered and saturated with the Shalom of God.  In Jesus name, Amen

Blessings, Love y’all
