“But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!”
Romans 5:15 NIV
May you live daily in the “much more” of God’s grace. I can hear some of you already saying aloud, AMEN. But, cool your jets before you get too excited.
Grace is for those who have blown it. “Much more” grace is for those who can’t even walk another step. Grace is the only thing that can cover shame and make it melt beneath its unconditional love. Pity is for those who think they can heal their own brokenness.
We ALL need grace. When you think others may need it more than yourself, you are blinded by pride and love of self. Grace will not impose its will upon anyone. The broken and contrite are the perfect candidates to accept its enveloping and warming embrace.
Grace is listening when you speak to yourself…”if people really knew me, they would shun me”, “I am so bad God, I have nothing to offer”, “Why God, would you want to be my friend?”
Grace allows you to stand tall upon the back of the one who gave it to you. If your legs feel a little wobbly, let them remind you it is not your strength to stand.
Still think you want to be a candidate for “much more” grace? Teaser…Jesus is looking at you right now!
Blessings Love y’all.
