Jesus handsThe Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. John 3:35 ESV

When I was a youth intern at Park Avenue Baptist a lifetime ago, one of my favorite people was a secretary.  She made time for the interns to process life. She had a small circular embroidered picture on her desk. It had the word ALL in caps.  I asked her why she had this item…She smiled and said, “It’s the biggest word in the Bible.” She gave it to me as a gift when I left.

If you placed your hands together in a place of receiving something, you can see the limitation of size.  There is only so much that will fit into your hands. Even less when you close your fist, but that it another devo. BUT Jesus says that God has put ALL things into His hands.

We believe that The Father loves the Son.  John 3:16 reminds us that God loves us and his Son and sent Him to us. There is a perfect harmony and relationship of mutual affection between the Father and the Son.

This also means that it is true that ALL things are in his hands. What are the ALL things in your life that you need to see as “in His hands”? Ongoing and persistent sickness? Negotiating life’s responsibilities of caring for children and loved ones? Financial worries, relationship struggles, employment concerns, or things breaking down? As you go through your day, visualize these issues as in His hands.

When the disciples were in the storm and about to drown, they cried out to Jesus, “don’t you care?” Knowing that ALL things are in His hands, reflects His compassion to care for our needs.

He has the whole world in His hands….this includes ALL of your stuff.

Blessings Love Y’all
