“…You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:11 NIV
Jesus said “out of you will flow rivers of living water.” He was referring to the Holy Spirit’s work in your life, but at that time, He was not accessible. In our “for me” centered thinking, we concentrate on the depth of the resources that are available to us. In other words, Jesus has a bottomless amount of love, forgiveness, and grace that He offers us, because of the well that never runs dry. This is a true statement and very important when we are in need.
BUT that is not what this verse says, nor what Jesus was implying. Salvation in Jesus transforms us. He creates a well of life in which others can drink. He will create fruit in us for others to enjoy. He will make us the filling station in the desert for those who are lost on the road. All the time, we are pointing out the abundance in our lives comes from the Father of “never runs dry”.
Perhaps, you don’t feel like you are “overflowing, full of abundance, or springing forth”. It is the Lord’s doing for abundance. He moves on hearts that are open and available for Him to be Himself. May He fill you to the brim, and then pour in just a little bit more.
Blessings Love y’all
