But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. 2 Timothy 4:5 NLT
One of the gifts distributed by God in Romans 12 is the gift of encouragement. This is not limited to making us feel better when we are down. Rather, the words that they speak bring salve to our soul. It may be one word or a phrase that helps us to move forward knowing that someone believes in us. Their words are like a lighthouse shining through the fog to help us navigate into the direction that we need to go. Paul lays before Timothy, his spiritual son, a series of thoughts to encourage Timothy to stay on the right path that God has given him to run.
The blessing of clear thinking in every situation.
The Mind of Christ. – As a follower of Jesus, you have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). In this passage in Corinthians Paul is explaining how we can know what God desires for our lives through the presence of the Holy Spirit. The mind of Christ within us gives us the ability to communicate with God. There is never a moment in which you are on a busy line or put on hold when speaking with God. Having the mind of Christ helps us know what God wants us to do in every situation.
Follow peace – Philippians 4:6-7 tell us that God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds in situations that are bringing us great fear and worry. Present your request, receive peace. Then follow the peace that is present. This may not be the easiest path forward, but it will be the one settles over your spirit as the right thing to do. When you fulfill the first part of this passage to give worry over to God, then peace stands continually and relentlessly on guard over your heart and mind. If peace is not present, don’t go in that direction even if you feel there are no other options. Wait for God’s peace to lead you, He is faithful and will come through.
Guidance of the Spirit – John 16:13 states that the Spirit will guide you into all truth. The Holy Spirit will never lead you astray or in a path that is not toward the direction of Jesus. He illuminates the word of God to bring clarity. He connects us to the body of Christ so that we can receive the benefits of every joint supplying to the needs of one another. He empowers you to live by faith to walk in the path that God has given for you.

May God’s peace saturate your heart and mind. May you have renewed faith and boldness to move forward in the calling God has given you. You are blessed to be a blessing.
