Without oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest. Proverbs 14:4 NLT
I have a thought, it’s a little risky
I’m comfortable where I am
I’m about ready to move forward
But I’m afraid of the traffic jams
To grow and become active
Carries responsibilities anew
More glut is added to it
Stuff, I don’t like to do
The ox is big and strong
Look at all that he can do
He makes field work lighter
But he leaves a messy poo
I have to feed him everyday
He’s unkempt and makes a mess
Always cleaning up behind him
Chores increase the more, not the less
To sit and do no work
I’m in control of my space
I’m safe, secure and clean
No fear, have I to face
Jesus calls me to the deep
Beyond safety, must I go
Awake me from escaping sleep
His pleasure, I desire to know
Take the risk that He offers
Firm conviction, abiding peace within
All decisions have more to them
Abundance awaits, when you begin
