Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, Lord! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:12-14 NIV
You say a thousand years are like a day to Me or the passing of the watch in the night. Your years on the earth are seventy or eighty if your strength endures. You plant an oak as a child, yet it is still growing strong when you come to the end of your time.
I have always been, I am, and I will be. I hold time in my hand. In My relationship with you, I am fully engaged in the moments. Though the moments may pass as breath in the air, these are the times that are precious to Me. We connect in the moments.
In those moments,My Spirit confirms that I never leave you nor forsake you. This is true especially when you are enduring the hard issues of life. I walk with you through the fire and the storms.
I know all of the circumstances surrounding your birth, both the joy and the apprehension. I am aware of the fears that you experienced growing up as you encountered this fallen world. As you formed concepts with the words or your mouth, the voice of My Word began to speak to you also. I am here.
To satisfy you in the morning, you need only to pause and receive. I am speaking and interacting with you through the moments of your day. I awaken the sun for the dawning of a new day. The birds sing a chorus of joy declaring the possibilities for new encounters.
I am speaking as you walk through the routines of everyday life which hurry you into your day. Breakfast, kids, clothing, house maintenance, transportation, yesterday’s carryover tasks, and worries of “what’s gonna happen today?”, are all compounding on your heart.
My love, My unfailing love, My sacrificial love, My covenant love are always present. My love reaches continually toward you and upholds you. It is strong enough to handle the hard and lonely times. It is a solid foundation that remains when your world is shifting. My arms of love can enfold the entirety of your stress. My love is real and tangible. O taste and see that I am good.
Pause. Listen. Receive. I am here with you now. I promise to stay.
