It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, Psalm 92:1-2 NIV
I truly inhabit the praises of My people, that includes your praise also. From the dawn of time as you know it, creation yearns to acknowledge Me in worship. My Son told you that the rocks would cry out in worship, if the people were not singing Hosanna to the King.
Worship is more than the songs and music of your gatherings. Yet, it is amazing to see the culmination of all the creativity to collide into symphonic unison of adulation and praise. Whether the music invites you to join in clapping and singing or you pause in meditation for one sustained thought, you are engaged in heavenly worship.
Don’t reduce worship to a matter of your ability to sing. Worship values delighting, adoration, admiring, and a yearning in your heart to connect with what it desires. Worship is found in the exercise of the man who found a treasure in a field and went and sold all that he had so he could purchase the field.
When I commanded you to have no other gods besides Me, it was not because I am insecure. I realize the futility of wasting your passions on things which will not satisfy you. I alone have the love, forgiveness, authority, and richness that your heart desires. Don’t waste your provisions on bread that will not satisfy.
Drink often from the wells of your salvation. Smile at that which is good and honorable. Clap for that which is holy. Sing for the joy of the freedom you have inherited. Dance as David danced for an audience of One. Stand in awe of My majestic ways. Kneel before Me, the Lord God who made you. Sit in the atmosphere of the holy angels worshipping continuously around the throne of heaven. Bow your head in reverence for the veil has been removed that denied you access into My holiness.
Pause and listen. Who does your heart yearn for? I am calling to you to come away My beloved. Turn from the distractions and follow my voice. I hear your whispers of love for Me. I am singing over you, My beloved. Allow My love to wash over your heart. I love you that much.
