And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. Isaiah 9:8b-9a NIV

This chapter in Isaiah starts off with this thought, “Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress” vs1. KIng David mentions this type of overwhelmingness when he penned, “O Lord, how many are my foes. Many are rising against me; 2 many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God. Selah Ps 3:1-2.

Sometimes no matter which direction you turn it can feel hopeless. Perhaps the pain never subsides, the bills continue to rise, options appear more and more limited, or reconciliation seems out of reach. Where can hope come from when you are sitting in a pile of hopelessness?

Enter the Prince of Peace, Jesus. I think I just heard angelic harp music.

Jesus showed that He was the Prince of Peace throughout every circumstance in life. In the storms, he slept. When they were hungry, He knew where food could be found. When trouble abounded, He spoke peace to His disciples.

Jesus is peace before your problem. Jesus is peace during your storm, Jesus is peace when the sun begins to shine again.

How do you enter into this peace that covers your heart and fills your mind?

By faith, put it on like clothing. Ask Jesus to come. Don’t limit Him. Let all that Jesus is come to you, your heart, your mind, your emotions and your situation. Peace abides like Jesus sitting with you. All the pain and problems sound and look a little different with the Prince of Peace expanding His rule and reign on your behalf. He is expanding His peace and you are one of those to whomHe loves to shower His favor and blessings

Take a breath and ask for Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to come and be Himself. He is faithful to bring His peace.

Blessings Love y’all
