Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19 NIV
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Psalm 68:19 KJV
Pam was listening to a broadcast of Chuck Pierce, Glory to Zion before church yesterday. One of the worship leaders quoted the verse in Psalm 68:19 and begin to settle on the phrase, He daily bears our burdens. Although you don’t hear the melody, these were the lyrics. If you want to hear, he starts singing this part around 47:25 minutes in
He daily bears our burdens Open your mouth and declare it - He daily burdens Sing it out - He daily bears our burdens Look that obstacle in the face - He daily bears our burdens Look that burden in the face - He daily bears our burdens Look that weight in the face - He daily bears our burdens Say it to your sorrows - He daily bears our burdens Say it to your troubles - He daily bears our burdens Blessed be the God of our salvation who - daily bears your burdens He demonstrated it on the cross -He daily bears our burdens There is not one day that he misses -He daily bears our burdens (this was the phrase that captured my thoughts for the day) We cast it upon you God - you daily bears our burdens You God yes You daily bear our burdens
What does daily mean for you? Do you believe this verse is a reality for your life? How do you cast your burdens on Him? How do you know that you have laid the cares of your heart upon HIm and that you are not carrying them yourself?
Notice in the King James version “benefits” is italicized where the other versions choose the word “burden”. The Hebrew word means “load” as to put the load on a donkey for him to carry. Although benefits are not in the original text, it fits the exchanged life model of Jesus. He takes our burden and blesses us with peace, wisdom, joy, and the ability to endure. He receives the burden that we cast and gives us the fruit of the Spirit in return.
On the Monday Mantra, be encouraged that the God of your salvation desires to carry your burdens. He has not left you. He is not distant. He is engaged in your life and struggles. Our Father God loves you. He is with you every single day, every single moment, daily upon daily. May you experience His unfailing love of carrying your burdens.
Blessings Love y’all
