As the year closes, I thought we could highlight some of the most viewed blog entries, especially as it relates to the daily themes. Many have shared their like for Whispers From Father God as their favorite. The reposted entry below was entered on August 15, 2019 and has received the most views for the category of “Another Whisper”.
24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them. Exodus 2:24-25 NIV
My thoughts are not like your thoughts and My ways are not like your ways, yet to be remembered is important to both of us. I am not flippant with My words or My actions. When I make a promise to never leave you nor forsake you, I never forget. I established My first covenant in stone to show the permanency of My commitment which I desired between you and Me.
But, I know that you forget. The cares of the world and the deceitfulness of the desires of your heart lead you to places which are far from My best for you. Like the story of the prodigal son, you slowly remember how different life is in My house. You long for the joy, freedom and peace in your heart and soul which exists when we are close. However, shame from your mistakes and poor choices keep you from returning to Me.
Even now, I remember My new covenant which was sealed by the blood of My Son when he sacrificed His life in your place. The Lamb, who was slain, is ever before My throne reminding Me of those who are washed clean from their past, present and future failures. I remember My Son’s request to forgive your sins and place My eternal love upon you. You are clothed with the righteousness which is befitting a child of royalty. As a father has compassion on his child, so I have removed the shame and guilt of your sin from you.
Come to Me! You are washed, clean, forgiven, accepted and loved. I REMEMBER you, but your sins I remember no longer because of My Son, Jesus. I hear your cries for help, and I am near. I see the dilemmas which weigh heavy upon your heart and I have a yoke ready to carry them for you. I watch as you box yourself into a place of no hope, a place in which you tell me there is only one way out and it leads to despair. But My hope leads to life. I am that I am. I remember you by name and by My everlasting covenant which was established in heaven and sealed by Holy Spirit.
You are mine and I remember to comfort, guide, dwell with those I love. I am the God who remembers.
Whispers from your Father, God
