Hey, Wally, Look at Me Photo by Keith Finley

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 1 John 3:1-4 NIV

There are many things that can bring joy to parents, like watching your child sleep peacefully, when they take their first step,  a generous smile, or when they share something with a friend.

The apostle John speaks from a parental perspective, not just as a father, although that is understood. He says that he experiences joy when he sees his children walking in truth. Parents, moms and dads, have an inner satisfaction when they see or hear about their child choosing to do something right of their own volition.

Let’s pray for our children to have a knowledge of what is right and wrong.  The basis for loving others is a knowledge of the Bible and an ear to hear the promptings of the Holy Spirit showing the right path to take. May the children hear the voice of mom and dad reminding them to  honor others, tell the truth always and seek purity of heart and mind.

Mom, extend grace to your children. There is none perfect and neither are you. Let the child know you will always believe in them and are so very thankful God placed them in your family.

Happy Mother’s Day

Blessings Love y’all
