He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love. Song of Solomon 2:4 NKJV

“That must be heresy”, she thought. “What kind of Bible Study is this? The leader just said, “God loves us just as much as He does Jesus.”  I better get out of here as quick as I can. Everybody knows that God loves Jesus so much more.

She left the meeting, but now she took up the conversation with God. After huffing and puffng, complaining and letting God know her righteous thoughts, she finally paused to listen to Him. He brought to mind one verse, John 3:16. He loves the world (and you) so much, He gave up His own Son for you. Some might say that sacrificing His own Son demonstrates a greater love for us.

Today, I woke up declaring His banner over me is love. Those 70’s and 80’s Christians remember the song, He brought me to His banqueting table and His banner over me is love by  Anyway, I turned to Pam and said, “He has a banner over us declaring that He loves us, not because of our goodness or because we are unworthy. He wants ALL to know that we are loved.” I went to work singing the song.

Before starting my bus run, I was reading one of the blogs I follow by Susan Alexander Yates. Feb 27.

One Word:

Loved

One Verse:

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love.” John 15:9

One Thought:

Jesus you were loved with a perfect love by Father God and now you are loving me with this same love. Help me (my friend, my child) to count on this perfect love today. I want to walk through these hours whispering, “I am loved.”

This was her blog for the week…one word LOVED

Later I was reading over some daily news content. At the end it shares some “what happened on this day in history.” Fred (Mr.) Rogers passed away on this day in 2003. Then they shared one of his quotes.  “The greatest thing that we can do is to help somebody know that they’re loved and capable of loving.”  – Fred “Mister” Rogers .

Three times in less than an hour, God’s love was highlighted. There is one Holy Spirit. Wow!

You are loved and capable of loving

  • God so loves…He demonstrates by moving (seeking you out, running in your direction, leaving heaven to come to where you live) toward you
  • Jesus so loved…He opened his arms and died in your place, and rose again to see YOU later!
  • Holy Spirit so loves…He dwells with you ALWAYS!

There is never a moment when He withholds His love for you. Like a sweet fragrance, His loves follows you everywhere you go, work, rest, sit, sleep, and play. He thinks you are worth loving, and so do I. Learn from the flowers which bask in the warmth of His light, His love is laser focused toward you.

Blessings Love y’all
