lighted light bulbBut you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NIV.

The Holy Spirit is moving! Yes, there is an expectation for us to witness with great frequency. But Jesus also provides the empowerment. The greek verb “will receive” is also future middle voice. This means that we will continually and repeatedly experience power from the Holy Spirit.  This will not be a one time event. It is not only “chill bumps” or just “joyful emotion”. He is the literal presence of Jesus’ power and peace within your heart.

We speak of Holy Spirit as a person. When He engages with a believer, ALL of Him is present.  You don’t get half a person. You will get ALL that He offers to the children God. Therefor, He will supply all that you need to be an effective “sharer” of the good news. He will orchestrate the appointments and guide your thoughts and words. This is His mission, and He invites us to travel the adventure in the same direction that His going.

Father, may we hear the wind of the Spirit as He guides us to the lost and hurting.

Love Y’all
