small faith6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. Luke 17:6 NIV

Praise the LORD. The entrance to the kingdom of God is available to the weakest. We bring our broken and fragile self to Him, and He meets us. Our only ability that we bring to the table of relationship is availability.

The disciples asked Jesus to “increase their faith”.  His response…If you have faith as small as a mustard seed. Jesus is not saying that your faith always has to be small….but that is the beginning.  It is the start of the interaction of the journey that God has for your life. It is so small that anyone can get engaged…children, uneducated, and even those stuck in the destructive cycle of addiction.

This small faith gets ignited when the Holy Spirit whispers to our spirit to move forward in obedience, just like our salvation. It doesn’t start with us…rather we respond to the invitation. We receive the thought. Mary said to the angel…”may it be (come to pass) as you have spoken”.

OH, please understand that God is whispering continuosly for us to follow the light of understanding that His word has provided. We don’t have to compare our word with anyone else.  Rather, when we move forward with His prompting, we take that small seed and plant it in our spirit that it may produce its intended fruit.

Ask God to remind you of the small promptings that you left on the “table”. Ask God for forgiveness for not responding in obedience. May His Spirit lead and guide you through the small steps of faith that produce wonderful outcomes for His kingdom.

May your faith increase today as your receive and act upon in faith the small word of obedience to act for His good pleasure.

Blessings  Love y’all

Update

Yesterday we traveled with girls from Haley’s house to a church 2 hours from Phnom Penh. We had a wonderful time interacting and sharing the gospel with nearly 100 students and their parents.

Today, Saturday, Jen, Pam, Pastor Sihok and myself are challenging students at a youth crusade, to step up to being the hope for their generation.  Pray that we speak words that communicate to help them see God’s plan for their lives. We are all asking that God will use us in His Spirit’s power.
