Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace. Ephesians 6:15 GOD’s Word Translation

No matter how good the rest of your armor may be for battle, your feet will carry you to that location, therefor your shoes matter. Good armor is preparation for resisting fear.

Paul says that these shoes are made and prepared for two complimentary things. First, there is a readiness to share the gospel or good news about Jesus. We carry this message of hope and life. Amidst all of the turmoil in our homes and country, this is still the only message to bring transformation that last. Everywhere you put your feet you will have opportunity to share the life of Jesus.

Don’t be afraid or ashamed that it may sound odd or inappropriate to tell someone that God loves them and has a special plan for their lives. He loved them while they were broken and sinful and gave Jesus to bridge the gap that exists between God and man. Your shoes will bring you in front of people who need that good news

Secondly, we should carry the “smell” of peace in our words, actions and demeanor. Peace is about tying knots instead of leaving the ends hanging. Peace is about listening for validation of the other person’s pain and perspective. Christians should be the cheerleaders for peace as we seek first to forgive those who have offended us. It is easier to see how others are doing it wrong than for us to take the necessary steps for reconciliation with those closest to us.

Peace is more than calmness, it is settledness that follows the order of how things should be. Peace prefers others first, without compromising convictions. Peace follows righteous actions.

When we are at peace with God, His peace remains anchored in the storms of life. When we are at peace with others, expressing love is much easier. When we are peacemakers, we shall be called children of God, because we begin to look and sound like Him.

Blessings Love y’all
